Leolen Newsome is an anointed sought-after prophetic worship leader, artist, songwriter, pastor, and mother. She is a luminary in worship music with over 30 years of singing experience. Her musical journey began in a vibrant church community and a musically rich, Christian household. With a passion for God’s presence, Leolen ministers with an authentic heart of surrender to God, carrying and producing the sound of heaven, creating atmospheres that open heaven and draw people into tangible encounters with Him. Distinguished by a versatile vocal style, her innate gift allows her to naturally excel in singing, songwriting, composition, and vocal arrangement.

Since 2015, Leolen has served as a Worship Leader at Turnt Life Church and Rodney Cain Ministries, Inc., under the leadership of Rodney A. Cain, where she directs, leads, and trains the worship team, in addition to serving as an ordained pastor since 2018. She also founded DiscoverU Vocal Coaching, LLC, helping worship leaders and singers unlock their unique sound, and Pure Harmony Choir, LLC, an upscale wedding and event choir, bringing a rich, and uplifting music experience that elevates every special occasion. 

In her personal journey, Leolen shared 22 years of her musical journey with her late husband, who went on to be with the Lord in 2024. She is the proud mother of Caleb, a young worshipper, and aspiring drummer and minstrel. Her journey is enriched by her commitment to the Heavenly Father, her family, ministry, and her craft, as she continues to leave an indelible mark on worship music.
